Nestled in the heart of Baldwin Park, Mariscos Martin Restaurant is a beloved seafood destination that brings authentic Mexican coastal flavors to life with every dish. Specializing in traditional seafood fare, this casual eatery is renowned for its robust, mouthwatering plates that showcase the best of the ocean’s bounty seasoned with bold, vibrant Mexican spices.
Fans of Mariscos Martin rave about their standout dishes like the Filete Sarandeado—a beautifully grilled fillet bursting with smoky char and zesty marinade that instantly transports your palate to the Pacific coast. Equally enticing are their Pescado Sarandeado and Camarones Sarandeado, both expertly prepared with a perfect balance of savory, spicy, and tangy flavors. For those craving something with a little heat, the Camarones a la Diabla is heralded as a fiery favorite, delivering a vibrant kick that warms you from the inside out.
The menu also offers a variety of fresh, crunchy Tostadas including the generously piled Tostada Mixta and the irresistibly rich Tostadas de Camarón Riquísima. Don't miss their Ceviche de Pescado, refreshing and tart, or the bold and tangy Pescado a la Diabla, a perfect fusion of flavors that excite the senses. Pair these dishes with their lively Michelada Bohemia or a crisp Corona for a truly satisfying meal.
Though the restaurant’s interior and the surrounding shopping center may show signs of wear and a dated decor, the culinary experience more than compensates. Diners describe the atmosphere as modest and unpretentious, a true reflection of an honest neighborhood gem where the main focus is the food. Service can be variable but is generally delivered with warmth and good humor, making you feel right at home despite the casual setting.
One important note: Mariscos Martin is a cash-only establishment, so be sure to plan ahead. Regular patrons from near and far, including those willing to travel from the San Fernando Valley, repeatedly praise the restaurant for delivering authentic, flavor-packed seafood that’s worth every penny and mile.
If you’re searching for a spot where every bite transports you to the seaside markets of Mexico, where the shrimp are garlicky and the fish grilled to smoky perfection, Mariscos Martin is a must-visit. It may not impress with flashy interiors, but it will captivate you with genuine, unapologetic flavors and generous portions that invite you back time and again.
Drove out from San Fernando Valley just to eat here. Food is so yummy. Must pay in cash but highly recommend this place. Worth the commute.
Best pescado and camarones sarandios in Los Angeles. Been here several times know. Restaurant and shopping center could use a major clean up. Restaurant looks Dirty inside and out side . Give service a 4 stars, Food 5 stars restaurant I will rate a 2 star
Food is amazing. Service was a little slow but great attitude. Atmosphere is okay.
Been coming here for years. Their tostada servings are always generous. Their rice and beans are great. Tostada mixta is my go to but I also was craving the mojarra as you can see. Everything tasted great. Small place, and the decor is very dated. But the food makes up for it. Good for to-go orders too.
Have been coming here since I was a kid, camarones a la Diabla is by far my favorite dish. All these years and they have persevered their authenticity Mexican flavors. Don’t let the outside look deter you from walking inside, i assure you that what comes out the kitchen is mouthwatering. Provecho my friends and heads up, Cash Only!
